The Toyota Etios was first showcased in Delhi at the Auto Expo 2010 as a ‘concept car’ but the actual production started in late 2010 and the sedan version was launched in December 2010. It competes with some of the established and most popular car models of different brands. Engines and transmissions are imported directly from Japan and when talking about the safety features, you will find that the vehicle comes with Front and Side Impact Beam for safety and Traction Control while the Etios and Etios Liva has no U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration rating because they didn’t undergo crash tests.
The consumer experience of the car has something mixed response. Due to the cost cutting technique, it is a bit noisy as it lacked in advanced insulation. But in the recent times the Toyota has overcome this problem and the car is feature-rich and contain substantial high level of equipment as compared to other cars. The rubberized coating in wheels has also improved the quality and safety feature of the car which the new users can enjoy.
