What You Didn’t Know About The Human Growth Hormone

The human growth hormone, or HGH, simply produces growth in humans and animals. It is sometimes necessary for treating children’s growth disorders and adults who suffer from growth deficiencies. It is only available by doctor, through prescription, and never over the counter. HGH is often abused by sports players and used as effective steroids. Prior to 2000, traditional tests could not detect if  HGH was being used; now blood tests can tell if it is in the system. This article will provide additional shocking facts about the human growth hormone.

Used as a Dietary Supplement

Many dietary supplements advertise that their formula produces growth hormones and combats aging by stimulating the pituitary to produce more HGH naturally. They claim to do this by mixing natural ingredients, such as herbs, amino acids, and minerals, with the beneficial effects of the human growth hormone. It is illegal for any dietary supplements or over-the-counter medication to contain straight-up HGH, which is why dietary supplements that can be purchased legally instead claim that they contain “HGH releasers”. HGH is produced by the pituitary gland. It is sometimes used as a makeshift steroid, which falls along the same lines as dietary supplements. However, the effects are not widely known. Some people use it along with other illegal steroids to improve their athletic performance.

Side Effects Can Be Debilitating

There are many severe and sometimes debilitating effects of taking HGH. Although some people actually do need it, it still produces side effects for some people. Some of these effects include: high levels of cholesterol, numbing and tingling sensations in the skin, joint pain, Acromegaly and swelling. It is important to remember that HGH should only be used by people who are prescribed it and not taken illegally as users may not know how to combat any side effects or symptoms they come across.

Legal Uses

As for children, HGH can be used to combat Turner’s  Syndrome, which is a genetic disorder that stunts the growth of many young girls. On the other end of the spectrum is Prader-Willi Syndrome, which produces a constant feeling of hunger and obesity. Children who are born smaller and have general problems growing can also benefit from HGH. As for adults, HGH can help short bowel syndrome, muscle-wasting disease caused by HIV or AIDS, and HGH deficiency.

FDA Approval

While most legal uses such as the ones mentioned above are FDA-approved, the most common uses are NOT. The safest way to take HGH is as approved by a doctor and marked as FDA-approved. Some experts claim that HGH can combat the process of aging by reversing deterioration caused by the natural decrease of HGH levels that happens when people age. This method is basically “take at your own risk” and not FDA-approved.

Celebrities And HGH

Celebrities are not adept from depending on the human growth hormone for certain things. Many rely on it to give them ripped abs, young faces, and a general sense of assurance. Hollywood commonly uses HGH to combat aging rather than depend on Botox injections.

My name is Helen Graves and I am a licensed cosmetologist. For years I have seen people who claim to use the HGH as a way to combat the natural signs of aging.
